Introducing Fenix NTA: Nano-Tech Alloy for Interior Design

Fenix is a new generation of Nano-Tech smart materials for interior design, that can be used for a broad range of horizontal and vertical applications in both commercial and residential projects, including benchtops, cabinetry, doors, workstations, vanities and furniture (tables, bookshelves, partitions, chairs).

Created by Arpa Industriale in Italy, Fenix is anti-fingerprint and soft to touch with low light reflectivity. It is extremely opaque and very durable, though should superficial micro-scratches occur, they can be thermally healed. Fenix possesses these characteristics by undergoing a series of processes including multi-layer coating, use of nanoparticles and acrylic resins that are hardened and cured through an innovative Electron Beam Curing process. When viewed under a microscope, you can see that the surface of Fenix is uneven, like a landscape of peaks and troughs. Rather than being reflected, the light is diffused, making Fenix highly opaque. Its closed surface allows for dust and water to simply slide off, making Fenix hygienic, mould resistant and waterproof.

Coming in February 2019, and brand new to New Zealand is Fenix NTA, Nano-Tech Alloy for interior design — with all the features and benefits of Fenix NTM including thermal healing, this time with an empowered metal surface, available in 0.7mm thick sheets and a 1.2mm thick colour core available to ensure superior edge clashing.

Fenix NTA will be available in three metal colours: the steel Acciaio Hamilton, silver Argento Dukat and gold Oro Cortez.

Also available from February 2019, two new Fenix NTM (Nano-Tech Matt) colours will be added to the NZ Colour Collection of Fenix (taking the collection to 12 colours hand-picked for the NZ market), these are Verde Comodoro, a dark green and Cacao Orinoco, a dark brown. Just like the other Fenix NTM colours, these are available in standard 0.9mm thick sheets, with a 1.2mm thick colour core sheet for superior edge clashing.
