New Multi-Point Locking Windows from APL

The highly secure locking mechanism is incorporated in a Eurogroove feature in the window profiles and has been introduced to enhance the functionality and operability of large opening sashes. A single handle is capable of driving a number of locking points on three (non-hinge) sides of the sash, ensuring security and a tight seal regardless of window size.

This product option is available in both Metro Series ThermalHeart+ and APL Architectural Series ThermalHeart+ windows. Tall casements up to 2500mm high x 1400mm wide are possible as well as wide awning windows with maximum size of 1500mm high x 1700m wide, depending on aspect ratio. Weight limitations also apply.

Extra-wide opening is also possible as part of the multi-point feature package, with casements opening to 180° (with concealed hinge), weight limit of 80kg, and an adjustable-friction sliding stay option that can allow opening to 20° or 45°. Opening restriction of 100mm can be chosen, allowing both ventilation and safety.

Corner drive hardware allows drive-bar continuation around corners for three-sided locking where needed. A new Urbo espagnolette handle has been designed for enhanced ergonomic lever action. Additionally, a new Elemental Multi Point handle is also available, designed to offer the same functionality and consistency with the Elemental hardware suite.

The sash platform accepts a glass thickness range of 22mm to 44mm, thus allowing both double glazing and triple glazing.
