Less than 40% of specifiers use industry magazines to discover new products

The easiest way to reach specifiers is to be seen where they already are looking; the magazines that they read, and the events that they attend differ depending on their focus. Optimise your spend by thinking about the target audience for your product and placing content accordingly.

The top publications and events for specifiers focussed on commercial vs. residential work are:

magazine and event popularity

*Note: Urbis, Interior and Houses are no longer in publication

Keep in mind that specifiers with less experience are less likely to be reading industry magazines in general. They are more likely to be attending industry events, so if it’s younger specifiers you’re targeting, the best options are:

  • EBOSS Architectural Movie Nights (57% rate this as very likely to attend)
  • Lectures from visiting architect/designer (49% very likely to attend)
  • Project/design tours (39% very likely to attend)
  • Supplier factory tours (35% very likely to attend)

With events and visits rated highly, are you including these in your offer?
