Metalcraft Insulated Panel Systems supplies Thermopanel and Thermospan Insulated Panels for use as load bearing and non-load bearing wall and roofing panels.

Location:

  • In all wind zones up to and included extra high as defined in NZS3604:2011 or up to a specifically designed maximum wind pressure (ULS) of 2.5kPa.
  • All corrosion zones as defined in NZS3604:2011

Building:

  • In new buildings where the relevant part of the building complies with the NZ Building Code or in existing buildings where the designer and installer have assured themselves that the relevant part of the building is adequate for the intended building work.
  • In conjunction with a concrete, steel or timber sub-floor and flooring structure (where panels are to be load bearing)
  • In conjunction with steel or timber structural framing and concrete, steel or timber sub-floor and flooring structure (non-load bearing). Joinery that complies with NZS4211:2008
  • All building uses, where material group 2 or more is required
Limitations on Use

Location:

  • Where the system is to be used in a micro-climate (as defined in clauses 4.2.2, NZS3604:2011), Metalcraft Insulated Panel Systems is to be consulted

Building:

  • Where the panels are to be located within 1m of a relevant boundary the system may only be used as a non-load bearing external wall cladding system
  • Where fire resistance rating (FRR) is required, specific design is required
  • A maximum building height of 10m
  • Where the panels are to be used as roof panels, a minimum roof pitch of 3°
  • Colorsteel® CP-Antibacterial must be specified where the internal face must comply with G3.3.2(a)
