Description

Mapei's structural concrete repair system describes the products for a standard structural concrete repair methodology.

The system is composed by different products depending on the type of repair procedure:

  • Mapefer 1K: Corrosion inhibitor cement mortar for the protection of reinforcing rods
  • Planitop Smooth and Repair R4: Structural, rapid-setting, shrinkage compensated, thixotropic, fibre-reinforced, cementitious mortar
  • Planitop 200: Water-repellent cementitious skimming mortar

Scope of Use
  • Repairing concrete structures in general
  • Repairing concrete panels
  • Repairing concrete beams, pillars, and columns
  • Repairing edges of balconies
  • Smoothing over surface defects in cast concrete and concrete panels
  • Repair concrete damaged by rusty reinforcing bars due carbonation
  • Reinforcing bars protection
Limitations on Use
  • Do not apply if the temperature is lower than 5°C or higher than 35°C
  • Do not add cement or aggregates
  • Apply on rough and sound substrates
  • Do not apply on dry substrates
