A special high-temperature welded side zip allows the fabric to be encapsulated within the powder coated aluminium side tracks. Patented inserts act as movement absorbers, preventing the fabric from tearing with the tracks. Solarzip awnings can be operated using a gearbox and removable crank handle, or motorised and controlled by remote control.

Solarzip can be manufactured in a wide range of fabrics, including clear PVC, but Solarview is the recommended fabric for this awning especially for its light filtering qualities. All Solarzip awning components are made of aluminium alloy, powder coated to requirements, forming a highly resistant, lightweight and rust proof construction.
