• H3.2 CCA or MCA treated panels must not be installed in direct contact with steel framing or steel structural elements
• Must be installed with appropriate ground clearances to meet durability requirements under NZBC Clause E2 and NZS 3604
• For exterior cladding applications using CD grade smooth-sanded panels, regular recoating and maintenance are required; a band-sawn surface finish is recommended to minimize face checking
• Preservative-treated sheets are envelope treated; all cut edges, drilled holes, or machined faces must be retreated on site with a suitable brush-on wood preservative to reinstate the envelope
• Untreated panels are restricted to dry internal protected applications where the moisture content of the supporting timber framing does not exceed 18%

Contribution to compliance

• Clause B1 Structure: Manufactured and certified by SAI Global to AS/NZS 2269. Suitable for structural design in accordance with B1/VM1 or B1/AS1. Wall bracing performance verified through Scion P21 racking tests
• Clause B2 Durability: Meets B2.3.1 Acceptable Solution B2/AS1 requirements when specified and treated to NZS 3602. When specified and maintained per technical documents, H3.2 treated panels achieve a 50-year structural durability performance in exterior applications, and untreated panels achieve at least 50 years in dry interior environments.
• Clause E2 External Moisture: When preservative treated and detailed with ground and exterior clearances in accordance with E2/AS1 Clause 9.1.3 and NZS 3604 Figure 6.21, panels satisfy E2.3.3, E2.3.4, and E2.3.5 performance requirements.
• Clause F2 Hazardous Building Materials: Manufactured to formaldehyde emission class Super E0 (< 0.3 mg/L) in accordance with AS/NZS 2098.11, ensuring panels do not pose a health hazard.

• Wall Bracing Ratings (bbi PlyBrace): Tested by Scion Research to P21:2010. Bracing values reach up to 138 BU/m (Wind) and 141 BU/m (Earthquake) for 7mm F8 panels on LVL8 framing, and up to 122 BU/m (Wind) / 127 BU/m (Earthquake) for 9mm F8 panels on SG8 framing.
• Formaldehyde Emission Rating: Super E0 rating (< 0.3 mg/L) in accordance with AS/NZS 2098.11
