Description

Smartwood Hinged doors are available in open-in and open-out formats. Bottom rails are larger than top rails and can be doubled in height for a true hinged door or French door of classic proportions.

French doors have rebated meeting stiles for a flush internal and external face. Optional sightline adaptors are available for sidelights.

Recommended maximum 2100mm high doors in Very High wind zones
Rebated meeting stiles give a flush appearance where French doors overlap and provide superior weathering
Open-out and open-in frames available
Bottom rails are larger than top rails and can be doubled in height for a true hinged door or French door proportions
Sightline adaptors are available for adjoining sidelights
French door flush bolts are concealed from view in the leading edge of the ‘lazy’ door panel
Parliament hinges are available which allow recessed doors to open a full 180º if preferred
Overlights and sidelights are possible

Designed, tested and manufactured to meet NZS 4211: Performance of Windows, and NZS 4233: Glazing in Buildings, Parts 1-4
Designed and tested to conform to NZ Building Code, including Clause E2

Other Performance Attributes

Window and door warranty provided under normal conditions of use against failure of materials and workmanship for a period of five years
Smartwood products need sealing after installation with an appropriate finish e.g. oiled, varnished, stained or painted; regular care and restoration recommended
Aluminium surface finish is covered by a separate performance warranty dependent on the actual finish selected
A hardware/componentry warranty is offered against defects in manufacturing, functionality and surface finish for a period of five years, provided care and maintenance guidelines have been followed
