Description

The 40mm series is a diverse range of window products designed for versatility — as strip windows, hopper and pivoting windows, seismically framed windows and curtain wall applications.

There are numerous sash and fixed light options for different site exposures, glass thickness and aesthetic requirements.

Key Features

For low to high rise applications
A varied, multi-product window system based on a 40mm frame platform. It includes:
- Glazed frames and sashes for general commercial applications
- Glazed frames and sashes for strip windows
- Hopper windows
- Pivoting windows
- Glazed frames seismically separated from the building structure
- Curtain walling
Substantially sized box-section extrusions allow large sashes up to 1600mm high x 1000mm wide dependent on the glass used (awning & casement applications)

Scope of Use

Suitable for commercial environments
For low to high rise applications
Need to be used in defined maximum sizes
The 40mm window system is compatible with the use of Magnum commercial doors
Hopper window option is suitable for institutional and education sector use

Limitations on Use

The 40mm seismic system is for banks of windows requiring seismic separation in low to medium rise applications
Depending on type of project, windows may come fully assembled and glazed or be assembled on site from pre-made modules
40mm curtain wall glazed panels are generally pre-assembled and fixed to continuous runs of curtain wall mullion on site
Shop drawings can be supplied by manufacturers when specified

Statement of Building Code Compliance

Designed, tested and manufactured to meet NZS 4211: Performance of Windows, and NZS 4233: Glazing in Buildings, Parts 1-4
Designed and tested to conform to NZ Building Code, including Clause E2

The 40mm window series was launched in 1993

Other Performance Attributes

Window and door warranty provided under normal conditions of use against failure of materials and workmanship for a period of five years
Surface finish is covered by a separate performance warranty dependent on the actual finish selected
A hardware/componentry warranty is offered against defects in manufacturing, functionality and surface finish for a period of five years, provided care and maintenance guidelines have been followed
