Sofitel is a premium hotel brand for the French company Accor. The project was envisioned as a five Star Sofitel hotel and to this end the design had to reflect the brand parameters of Sofitel — French, classic with a sense of place and a link with France.

The Sofitel is located near the Botanic Gardens, which provided the design theme and inspiration. The interior concepts were further developed to reflect the botanic theme through the bar, restaurant, reception, premier suites and rooms.

The hotel today is comprised of a number of different boutique hotel rooms, premiere suites and a small conference facility with bar and restaurant. The rooms are comprised of standard and executive suites with each of the suites having unique bathrooms suited to a five star property. The public bathrooms reflect the botanic theme prevalent throughout the property.

Bathrooms for the standard rooms feature Ideal Standard's Rotunda Wall Mounted Basin Mixer which offers a clean minimalist design, cylindrical form and long lasting style. This makes it the perfect match for the textile Rombo Vessel Basin by Art Ceram. Together the two make a bold statement in the bathrooms. The Parisi Ellisse Toilet Suite continues the high standard set, offering appealing design combined with superior performance.

The combination of the Jingle Extended height basin mixer by Zucchetti with its harmonious proportions and the Bagno Design Elba Silver Glass Vessel Basin create a sober and elegant scene, forming an accurately sophisticated bathroom for the executive suites. Finally, the compact, freestanding IOS bath finishes the space off by generating an island of tranquillity, offering big bath luxury in an amazingly compact package.
