Fragmentation can occur during any process, especially when multiple trades and product suppliers are involved that all specialise in, and champion, their own categories. It can be refreshing when some take an approach of connecting these to create integrated systems that simplify and streamline design and specification.
For instance, when supplying drainage systems designed for local market construction methods it is intuitive to consider, design, test and supply passive fire protection products that integrate with them. Knowledge and experience gained from over three and a half decades of designing premium plumbing and drainage products has allowed Allproof to create innovative Passive Fire Protection (PFP) solutions that contribute to the overall function of a building's service. By designing and manufacturing both products we can engineer and test the solutions that work together for a compliant and functional outcome.
We have recently published updated PFP manuals for plumbing and electrical systems which includes our latest test results on current and evolving construction trends. The manuals are independently appraised by BRANZ to confirm our manufacturing and quality assurance processes and their compliance with the NZBC and AS1530.4:2014.
Further to this we provide assurances around our sustainability and ethics with a Toitū bronze enviromark certification at the main production facility in Auckland. This facility on the North Shore of Auckland uses solar energy generated on site to make products from 100% recycled Polypropylene, sustainable packaging solutions and harvests its own nitrogen for the laser cutter from the atmosphere.
Our team support local specifiers with straightforward information and solutions backed up with technical insights. Our philosophy is to reduce complexity, to achieve this we focus on clear concise communication through product proposals and master spec work sections, backed up with defined test data on compatible services and substrates as well as install information.
Specifying products can be streamlined by selecting suppliers that offer compatible systems to reduce the quantity and any conflicts of information. New Zealand manufactures that specialise in systems designed to NZBC and AS/NZS standards such as Allproof provide unique insights and solutions that improves the specification experience, as well as credibility through industry appraisals and environmental certification.
