Supplied for interior flooring, Patina is a pre-finished engineered oak flooring with a hardwood wear layer, and a tongue-and-groove profile. Patina is 15mm thick overall, with a 4mm European oak wear layer bonded to an 11mm plywood core — providing a genuine oak surface on a base that holds its shape.
Patina is old world and rustic. It features 240mm wide boards, with the knots, the grain and the natural colour all still in them. With a brushed texture, it’s finished to wear in rather than wear out, and it’s made to look like it’s already lived a life. Available in five colours ranging from pale, through honey and silvered-grey tones, to warm and golden.
Engineered oak is more dimensionally stable than solid timber, so it copes better with changes in humidity, from a damp Auckland winter, then a dry, heated room. The surface is a hard-wearing UV lacquer in an extra-matt finish, laid glue-down.
Installed and maintained in accordance with Vienna Woods' requirements, this product will assist with meeting the performance clauses below.
Timber flooring is the only thing Vienna Woods does, sourcing a variety of profiles and finishes from manufacturers across the globe for architects, trade and resellers across New Zealand.
