Ultratherm Recover Warm Roof
Description

The Rooflogic UltraTherm Recover system allows almost any existing roof to be refurbished to provide a highly durable, warranted re-roofing solution.

The Recover system can be installed over a wide range of existing substrates, including concrete and timber. Rooflogic Recover system can be designed to enhance the roofs thermal performance, and with tapered elements to increase fall and eliminate ponding.

The Rooflogic Recover system offers two roof membrane options. Derbigum modified bitumen membrane and Fibertite KEE single ply. The two membrane offers provide highest levels of durability. Every Rooflogic Recover system is specifically engineered and detailed to guarantee structural performance and long term weather-tightness of the system.

Key Features
  • Convenience: The existing metal roof is not removed but is used as the substrate for the UltraTherm Recover system.  On plywood/concrete substrates the existing membrane can be left in place and overlaid with a mechanically attached layer of Securock Roof Board, providing a perfectly engineered substrate for a new membrane installation.
  • Fully engineered: Testing is carried out on all existing roofs prior to installation of the UltraTherm Recover system
  • Optimal waterproofing: Weather-tightness of the UltraTherm Recover system is superior to existing metal roof
  • Improved trafficability: When the Recover system is being installed over an existing metal roof the Securock Roof Board, due to its extremely high compressive strength, means the Recover system is more trafficable, more impact resistant and much less prone to damage over the life of the roof system
  • Cost: The Recover system is highly cost competitive and, when the full costs associated with a re-roof are considered
  • Design Flexibility: The high performance components within the RoofLogic range allow for complete design flexibility when planning a roof refurbishment
Scope of Use

Can be installed over a wide range of existing substrates — the existing metal roof is not removed but is used as the substrate for the UltraTherm Recover system.

On plywood/concrete substrates the existing membrane can be left in place and overlaid with a mechanically attached layer of Securock Roof Board, providing a perfectly engineered substrate for a new membrane installation.

Other Performance Attributes
  • Thermal performance: By introducing additional layers of the rigid PIR insulation board over the existing metal/concrete/plywood substrate thermal performance can be increased to dramatically reduce energy use in existing buildings. Rigid PIR insulation maintains a constant R-value over the life of the system and, by installing insulation above the level of the metal deck, thermal breaks are eliminated. The Recover system can be installed to eliminate the build up of damaging condensation that can occur with more traditional roof systems.
  • Acoustic performance: The acoustic performance of a membrane roof incorporating the Securock Roof Board is measurably better than a standard metal roof and additional layers of Securock can be introduced if greater acoustic performance is required.

RoofLogic utilise the world's best available roofing components to engineer New Zealand's very best commercial roofing solutions.
