Resene Thixalon 5

Resene Thixalon 5 is a thixotropic waterproofing membrane designed for thick application over concrete surfaces. Shows similar characteristics to the industry yardstick Resene X-200 (see Data Sheet D62) in terms of adhesion, ease of application and durability.

Key Features
  • Colour: White and colours off-white; available in most colours from the Resene Total Colour System in a minimum order size of 200L.
  • Due to its unique rheology, Resene Thixalon 5 may be applied at very high thicknesses without sagging or film cracking. However, it is better trade and specifying practice to build up the required thickness in more than one coat to improve uniformity
  • Superior void and crack filling properties
  • Excellent durability. Requires no further 'weathering' coats
  • An Environmental Choice approved product

Scope of Use

All cementitious surfaces.

Limitations on Use
  • Old, weathered concrete requires surface conditioning with Resene Sureseal (see Data Sheet D42).
  • Do not apply at temperatures below 10°C or when it is liable to drop below 10°C during the drying period.
