Description

These are available in open-in and open-out formats. Doors are rated to 2.7m high. For higher doors consider using APL Architectural Series ThermalHEART®. Both open-in and open-out door systems are available with integrated sidelights and overlights, with or without opening sashes. French doors have flush meeting stiles for a clean look.

Key Features

Door panels lap over frame for superior aesthetics, weather tightness and thermal performance
Glazing is deeply set within the building wall, delivering a strong appearance
Lapped panels enhance security by hindering access to door latch
Flush meeting stiles give a clean appearance in French doors and provide superior weathering
Open-out and open-in frames available
Parliament hinges allow doors to open outwards a full 180° in brick veneer situations
Three-way adjustable hinges for optimum installation and performance
Concealed hinge option available utilising the Eurogroove feature
Overlights and sidelights are possible
Maximum glass thickness of 44mm IGU — compliance with NZBC clause H1 Energy Efficiency requires high performing Low-E double glazing
A range of door handle and lock options are available, including multi-point locking

Available in defined maximum sizes

Limitations on Use

Recommended maximum 2700mm high doors in Very High wind zones — for larger sizes consider using APL Architectural Series ThermalHEART®
Compliance with NZBC clause H1 Energy Efficiency requires high performing Low-E double glazing

Statement of Building Code Compliance

Designed, tested and manufactured to meet NZS 4211: Specification for Performance of Windows, and NZS 4233: Glazing in Buildings, Parts 1-4
Conforms to all relevant NZ Building Code clauses

Metro Series ThermalHEART® with Centrafix™ is a new system introduced in 2023

Other Performance Attributes

Window and door warranty provided under normal conditions of use against failure of materials and workmanship for a period of five years
Surface finish is covered by a separate performance warranty dependent on the actual finish selected. Metro Series ThermalHEART® with Centrafix™ products can have a different colour on the interior and exterior faces as an optional choice
A hardware/componentry warranty is offered against defects in manufacturing, functionality and surface finish for a period of five years, provided care and maintenance guidelines have been followed
