Description

Double hung windows are a counter-balanced vertical sliding window system where both panels move together. They are a good option for non-projecting ventilation.

Key Features

Suitable for residential, commercial and institutional use
In the fully open position with both sashes adjoining each other half the window area is open
Recommended aspect ratio is 2:1 with a weight restriction of 100kg per panel
Tested to Extra High wind zone
Generally appropriate in single banks because of the large width of coupling bars
Work well with insect screens
Opening handle in bottom rail of lower sash has two locking at the sill

Limitations on Use

Opening gap at sill may need to be restricted in high window situations
Double hung windows will generally be appropriate in single banks because of the large width of coupling bars
Recommended aspect ratio is 2:1 with a weight restriction of 100kg per panel
Consider the ease of reaching to the window handle if the sliding panel is placed beyond a bench

Designed, tested and manufactured to meet NZS 4211: Performance of Windows, and NZS 4233: Glazing in Buildings, Parts 1-4
Designed and tested to conform to NZ Building Code, including Clause E2

Other Performance Attributes

Window and door warranty provided under normal conditions of use against failure of materials and workmanship for a period of five years
Surface finish is covered by a separate performance warranty dependent on the actual finish selected
A hardware/componentry warranty is offered against defects in manufacturing, functionality and surface finish for a period of five years, provided care and maintenance guidelines have been followed
