Description

These are bottom-rolling and rated to 2.1m high in very high wind zones. For higher doors consider using the Metro Series ThermalHEART.

The system uses an in-frame track and can be supplied with overlights. A wide range of panel configurations is available. Bi-fold panel hinges are thermally broken to preserve the thermal integrity of the system.

  • Residential ThermalHeart bi-fold windows and doors share the same system.
  • Maximum 2100mm high doors in very high wind zones — For larger sizes consider using the Metro ThermalHEART Series
  • Thermal efficiency achieved through a thermal break in aluminium profiles – a glass fibre-reinforced nylon (polyamide) interlayer
  • Maximum glass panel thickness of 27mm
  • Corner bi-folds are available that do not require a corner post
  • The efficient bottom roller system allows optimum load capacity and increased panel width
  • Single panel access door can be used in conjunction with bi-fold doors
Scope of Use
  • Suitable for broad residential use
  • Maximise views and ventilation but need to be monitored if windy conditions occur
  • Available in defined maximum sizes.
Limitations on Use
  • Maximum 2100mm high doors in very high wind zones — For larger sizes consider using the Metro ThermalHEART Series
  • Careful consideration of bi-fold use is required when projecting on to decks or pedestrian areas
  • In closed position bi-fold window and door stiles impact views
Statement of Building Code Compliance
  • Designed, tested and manufactured to meet NZS 4211: Performance of Windows, and NZS 4233:  Glazing in Buildings, Parts 1-4
  • Designed and tested to conform to NZ Building Code, including Clause E2
In-Service History
  • Launched in 2011
  • Widely used in residential projects throughout New Zealand by homeowners, builders, Group home builders and specifiers
Other Performance Attributes
  • Window and door warranty provided under normal conditions of use against failure of materials and workmanship for a period of five years
  • Surface finish is covered by a separate performance warranty dependent on the actual finish selected
  • A hardware/componentry warranty is offered against defects in manufacturing, functionality and surface finish for a period of five years, provided care and maintenance guidelines have been followed
