Gerard Solar Bracket

Gerard's new Solar Bracket accessories allow roof-mounted solar systems to be installed in new homes and roof renovations with no penetration of the roof substrate.

Featuring aluminimum-zinc magnesium (ZAM) coated steel, the Solar Brackets are secured directly into batten and rafter junctions where Gerard roof panels overlap, with concealed foam strips providing added weather security.

  • Allows for penetration-free mounting of solar panels on roofs
  • 3mm thick aluminium-zinc magnesium (ZAM) coated steel
  • Patented design is compatible with any type of conventional PV or solar hot water system, and is also compatible with Gerard's range of pressed steel roof panels (CAD available for each)
  • Supplied with dense foam strips fitted above and below bracket for added weather protection
  • Proven in-use history in Japan where the accessory was launched in 2013

Scope of Use

Suitable for use in new builds and renovations featuring as part of a Gerard pressed steel roof installation:

  • Compatible with all profiles, colours and textures 15-45 degrees in pitch, and compatible at 12 degress with Gerard Colortile, Milano and Tuffcoat
  • Wind zones up to and including extra high as defined in NZS 3604:2011
  • All corrosion zones as defined in NZS 3604:2011
Limitations on Use
  • Designed for use with Gerard pressed steel roof systems only

Gerard's Solar Brackets were co-developed in New Zealand and Japan, and first manufactured in Japan for the local market in 2013.
