Description

Vulcan Cladding — Vertical Grain is created from thermally modified New Zealand plantation timber and engineered with a patented vertical grain construction for superior weathering characteristics. A fine sawn face allows a depth of grain, and optimal coating performance. Vulcan Cladding - Vertical Grain is available in Architectural and Standard Series.

Vulcan Cladding is CodeMark Certified for guaranteed acceptance with New Zealand Building Authorities and conformance with the New Zealand Building Code, and is covered by a 15 year Built to Last Warranty.

Architectural Series

The Architectural Series is Abodo's premium cladding, ideal for architectural projects where a largely clear aesthetic is desired. This series includes a wider range of profiles, colours and finishes.

A renewable alternative to Western Red Cedar, Abodo's Vulcan timber is verified to store more carbon than is used in its production. 
The thermal modification process used in its production results in a stable timber with low moisture content — meaning it won’t warp, cup or bleed.
Suitable for coating in dark colours, even in warm climates.
Create clean lines using various profiles, including vertical shiplap and bevel back. With a variety of coatings and finishes, Vulcan is perfect for bespoke architectural aesthetics and applications.

Scope of Use

Vulcan Cladding can be used in vertical or horizontal applications. WB10 profile is a secret fix profile that can be used to create a vertical shiplap look.

Abodo Weatherboard Cladding Systems are exterior wall claddings on a drained cavity suitable for buildings:

timber framed to NZS3604:2011 Timber framed buildings or steel framed to NASH Standard Part 2: May 2019 Light Steel Framed Buildings
located in a wind zone up to and including Extra High wind zone (as specified in NZS3604)
within the scope of Acceptable Solution E2/AS1 para 1.1, and with risk score not greater than 20
located no closer than 1m from a relevant boundary
in any exposure zone (excluding microclimates) (as specified in NZS3604)
