Description

The Ventuer mechanical ventilation systems for low-rise apartment apartments are designed and engineered on a case-by-case basis to meet project specific requirements. Designed to exceed NZBC and Healthy Homes standards, they extract contaminants and condensation from bathrooms, kitchens and laundries whilst ensuring fresh air is supplied throughout the apartments.

With a full range of different fan types, duct systems, fire dampers, internal grilles and diffusers and external cowls and louvres, the Ventuer systems can be configured for virtually any construction methodology and architectural intent.

Scope of Use

Mechanical ventilation systems for low-rise apartment buildings up to 6 storeys.

Systems are engineered to suit project-specific requirements, and can be designed to ventilate the following rooms/zones:

  • Extraction from kitchens, bathrooms and laundries
  • Fresh air supply to bedrooms and living areas
  • Fresh air supply to stairwells, lobbies and common areas
  • Relief air systems for lift shafts
  • Ventilation of basements and underground carparks
Limitations on Use
  • Extraction-only systems can only be used in buildings with opening doors and windows that are greater than 5% of the floor area to comply with G4 requirements

Installation Requirements

Installation requirements for the Ventuer mechanical ventilation systems vary dependent system design and building construction methodology. Ventuer provides full shop drawings for all installations which show sequencing, fixing type and sizing, flashing requirements and sealant details. Installers should make themselves fully conversant with these shop drawings prior to installation commencing.
