Sheetrock Total Lite Joint Compound

Sheetrock Total Lite Joint Compound is a high-performance compound specifically formulated for the professional plasterboard finisher. It weighs up to 25% less than conventional-weight compounds and provides superior workability, including good open time, excellent crack resistance and easy sanding.

Special vacuum processing and patented formulation technology eliminate entrained air to minimise cratering and minor surface imperfections. Vinyl formulation ensures professional quality finishing as well as low shrinkage; metal such as corner bead and fasteners usually can be covered with just two coats, saving time and money.

Scope of Use

The special vinyl formulation is an option for embedding tape as well as filling and finishing coats in interior plasterboard applications. Also for covering corner bead, fasteners and trim, for skim-coating plasterboard surfaces and for hand-applying simple textures.

Limitations on Use

Protect container from freezing and extreme heat.

Prior to using any epoxy coating over any surface treated with joint compound, consult the epoxy coating manufacturer and follow manufacturer’s specific recommendations regarding the preparation or suitability of substrates for the epoxy coating. Many epoxy coatings exert significant shear stress on the substrate as the strong epoxy film shrinks while curing/drying. This stress can cause the bond of the joint compound to fail, resulting in delamination problems.
