NZ Foam provides an external wall insulation system that can enhance the reduction of heat/cold loss that will exceed the minimum R-value under the New Zealand Building Code (NZBC)(1). The application of the system can be installed to the interior and exterior of the building structure.
A spray-in-place insulation is created to provide a durable air-tight barrier to heat and cold. The foam is a closed cell, medium density 2-part polyurethane foam with low thermal conductivity that will adhere to numerous substrates.
NZ Foam products not only provides thermal insulation but creates an air and moisture seal, giving greater control over the interior environment of the building.
The product is usually site applied using special spray equipment, trained applicators and under strict quality control conditions.
Typically used for application into timber, concrete and/or light gauge steel framing of walls, floors, and in roofs to meet thermal performance design requirements.
Subject to the following:
Complies with the New Zealand Building Code:
A two hut field exposure comparison conducted in Ontario, Canada Field, investigated the heating energy consumption of test huts insulted with either spray foam or fibreglass batts.
