NZ Foam provides an container insulation system that will exceed the minimum R-value under the New Zealand Building Code (NZBC)(1). The insulation system eliminates the interior condensation caused by exterior temperatures to the structure. A spray-in-place insulation is created to provide a durable air-tight barrier to heat and cold. The foam is a closed cell, medium density 2-part polyurethane foam with low thermal conductivity that will adhere to numerous substrates.
NZ Foam products not only provides thermal insulation but creates an air and moisture seal, giving greater control over the interior environment of the home.

The product is usually site applied using special spray equipment, trained applicators and under strict quality control conditions.
Typically used for application into timber, concrete and/or light gauge steel framing of walls, floors, and in roofs to meet thermal performance design requirements.
Limitations on Use
Subject to the following:
All designs and construction shall be within the requirements and the guidelines set out in the ASCC Technical Manual ver 1.1 dated 1 July 2016, which includes ensuring the substrate to be properly assessed before application. Other uses are outside the scope of this certificate.
For application to light gauge steel framing, using a 400mm stud spacing and 63mm product, a 0.7 R-value thermal break is re-quired in all climate zones, and for 600mm stud spacings using 90mm thickness of product a .5 R-value thermal break is re-quired in all climate zones.
Substrates are to comply with those specified in the ASCC Technical Manual ver 1.1 dated 1 July 2016, and the ASCC Building Product Quality Plan ver 2.1;
Installation shall be performed by ASCC trained and approved installers. Maintenance where required shall be in accordance with the ASCC Building Product Quality Plan ver 2.1
