Design Weathertight Continuous Building Envelopes with Multi-fit Penetration Seals

When specifying pre-cladding products it’s important to take a systems-based approach; a well thought-out and fully compatible pre-cladding system is critical for air and water tightness. Within any pre-cladding system, penetration seals play a major role in maintaining the integrity of the building envelope.

Thermakraft’s patented OneSeal Multi-fit Pipe and Cable Penetration Seals have been designed to provide an airtight and watertight solution for round or rectangular pipes, cables or conduits when passing through underlay barriers. The seals comprise a soft, flexible 1.2mm-thick EPDM membrane with a self-adhesive flange which is bonded to the underlay to provide exceptional air and water tightness.

For builders, the multi-fit seals simplify the penetration sealing process with pre-punched markings enabling fast and efficient installation. Pipe seals are available with four pre-notched rings for pipes from 15mm to 110mm in diameter, while cable seals offer the option of one conduit of 55mm to 80mm in diameter or two large cables (10mm to 22mm in diameter) or four smaller cables (7mm to 10mm in diameter).

As a key component of Thermakraft’s BRANZ appraised OneWrap pre-cladding system, OneSeal Multi-fit Pipe and Cable Penetration Seals contribute to creating a continuous exterior envelope backed by a full system warranty. OneSeal penetration seals are also BRANZ appraised as an individual product for use with NZBC compliant building underlays and rigid air barriers. The highly adhesive seals are suitable for up to 90 days UV exposure, can be installed in all wind zones and can withstand service temperatures ranging from -40°C to 80°C.

For BRANZ appraised air and water tight penetration seals specifically designed to protect the integrity of the building envelope in NZ conditions — all while offering efficient, stress-free installation, specify OneSeal Multi-fit Pipe and Penetration seals.
