Sole importers and installers of Barrisol in New Zealand, Stretch Master Ceilings, are excited to introduce this innovative product to the New Zealand market.
The lightweight PVC panels are available in a vast array of colours, textures and finishes that can be customised to suit any project. With options for curves, 3D shapes, backlighting, translucent panels and custom printing, the design possibilities are endless.
"The great thing about Barrisol is that you can create any design you can imagine," says Stretch Master General Manager, Chris Ramsey. "And it's functional. It can be used for lights and has high acoustic performance."
Barrisol is not just a ceiling product, explains Chris, "Barrisol can be used for walls, shapes and suspended forms. We can work with designers to create custom designs."
Both the fabric panels and alloy framing are sized and fabricated off site. Once the frames have been installed, the Stretch Master team simply heats and stretches the panels into place; a process which can be completed in a matter of hours. A key advantage of this process is that the panels are dust and debris free — saving time on clean-up. "There is no sanding, no painting, no plasterboard stopping, which means no mess," explains Chris.
Barrisol ceilings are suitable for a wide range of applications including entranceways, reception areas, offices, retail stores, shopping malls, showrooms, restaurants, aquatic centres, airports and gymnasiums — anywhere where a high-end aesthetic is required. The panels have a Group 1-S fire rating, making them ideal for any commercial space. For projects where acoustic control is key, specifiers can opt for Barrisol's Acoustic range which features four different noise absorption rates — allowing designers to cater to the acoustic needs of the project at hand.
Recent projects in New Zealand include Servilles Newmarket, Hesketh Henry Lawyers and Air New Zealand's Premium Check-in Lounge at Auckland Airport.
