ArGeTon Facing Tiles Offer Attractive, High Performance Option

ArGeTon is the original and oldest manufacturer of terracotta rainscreen systems and enjoys a dominating presence on the world stage. Developed in Germany in the early 80’s, ArGeTon has been successfully installed on thousands of projects in more than 29 countries.

Natural clay tiles accentuate the expressive architecture of new buildings and add a contemporary character to restored properties. The appeal of clay when combined with steel, glass and wood lies in its subtlety, symmetry, natural elegance and timeless perfection. This clay facade is the ultimate finish for modern buildings and refurbishments crowning many new, modern buildings globally.

Due to its significant durability and very high wind resistance, the aesthetics of the ArGeTon Rainscreen facade remain intact for many decades. Sophisticated water drainage prevents contamination. The ceramic colours remain resistant and strong, even when exposed to the toughest weather conditions. The facade is considered to be particularly fireproof. The joint profile protects the facade from the lateral movement of the tiles, penetration of rain and the clatter of tiles in the wind.

ArGeTon facade tiles are made entirely from natural raw materials sustainably sourced to create a truly natural effect with real environmental benefits. The vertical joint profile prevents lateral shift of the tiles and penetration of driving rain. The tiles are calibrated during production to ensure excellent dimensional accuracy — vital to the precise joint grid. ArGeTon collaborate internationally with manufacturers of membranes, cavity fire barristers, insulation and aluminium to ensure compliance with international design codes to supplement the existing assessed design life of our system of 50-100 years by German institutes.
