Darkon HIP Profile Now New Zealand Made

Having lighting custom made to design specifications can involve lengthy lead times from overseas manufacturers. And any last minute changes can end up with huge repercussions. Luckily Light Nation, a New Zealand based lighting solutions supplier, has recently opened manufacturing operations in its hometown of Christchurch.

Partnering with world-renowned lighting supplier, Darkon, Light Nation is now manufacturing Darkon branded HIP profiles with a short manufacturing lead-time of five working days for a standard selection of specifications.

A popular item, the Darkon HIP profiles are already well established in New Zealand with high profile projects installing them nationwide. The move to bring manufacturing to New Zealand was a no-brainer for Managing Director, Simon Vale “We knew we had a great product, but wanted to improve on lead times as any problems in the supply chain can cause major headaches for everyone involved with these projects. Bringing manufacturing to New Zealand allows us to work closely with architects and specifiers to create bespoke solutions with a quick turnaround.”

The Darkon HIP profiles have some great features, including Tridonic drivers and LED boards, dot-free homogenous illumination, a robust aluminium body, and a wide variety of dimming options, lenses, and colours.
