PABCO Premier Warranty is set at a higher wind velocity (209 km/hr) than all other competing shingles in New Zealand. At 15 years, the warranty is greater than other competing shingles where the warranty is only for 5 years.

PABCO Premier Warranty is also transferable to subsequent owners, unlike all other competing shingles in New Zealand, where if the house is sold, there is no warranty.

Michael McNie of Asphalt Shingle Roofing NZ says "that a good example of this was the recent Hobsonville tornado that caused considerable damage to a group of houses, and property’s. Houses that had the PABCO Premier Shingle installed suffered no damage, whereas surrounding houses that were damaged, had parts of their roofs lifted off, these included other brands of shingle roofs."
