“Franklin Hospital is New Zealand’s newest private hospital. It has been purpose-built to give the Franklin community and surrounding areas greater access to some of New Zealand’s top specialists, and the ability to receive treatment closer to home. The new facility offers surgical and endoscopy services, a new urgent care, family doctors, radiology, pharmacy and a café all under the same roof,” says Franklin Hospital.

The team at Mico Design utilised their expertise in specialised clinical and hospital grade bathroom sanitaryware to create a unique specification with a focus on hygienically advanced, fit-for-purpose and robust fittings.

The Hansgrohe MySport range of tapware was selected for its clean minimalistic design and its specific features such as its temperature adjustment function and spray refinement.

The robust qualities of the German engineered brand make it particularly favourable for busy hospital use.

Mico Design was asked to specify bathroom products that could withstand high public use. These included vandal-resistant fittings as well as accessibility-compliant solutions.
