Mico Design first started working with Architectus on the Student Association Building for University of Canterbury back in 2017. Like other big projects, it has taken some time from design through to the final build stages. To mitigate any changes, Mico Design has assisted right through from the initial design stage to the end of the project. With the structural framing, roofing and cladding almost complete, the fit-out stage is coming soon, with the new building due to open in the second semester of 2019.
Sometimes specified products can change or be discontinued. If any such changes occur, Mico Deisgn supports the architect, construction company or plumber in assisting to choose an appropriate replacement that will work within the design and budget of the project. In the case of the Student Association building, which was specified nearly two years ago, some of the product had changed, so Mico Design has offered alternatives fit for purpose and budgeted to suit. Mico Design's consultants will work with the architects and supplying plumbers to ensure there are no delays in supply.
Products being supplied for the student association building are Urbane toilet suites, Coral Wall Basin, Delabie time delay tapware, as well as accessories, kitchen and cleaners sinks and tapware.
Mico Design would like to thank Architectus for allowing them to specify for this project.
