Mico Contributes to Green Star Design at Wynyard Quarter

The new six storey Goodman building has been constructed within the Goodmans' VXV precinct on the corner of Gaunt St and Halsey St in Auckland's harbourside Wynyard Quarter.

The new building encompasses a total of 8,813m² of commercial space and an additional 883m² of ground floor food and beverage focused retail outlets. It is part of a big wave of corporate relocations to the waterfront precinct, with Fonterra also having moved its headquarters to a neighbouring commercial block in 2016, and international IT services firm Datacom moving to a third building in the hub in 2017. These three large commercial buildings all had Mico Design Specifications.

For the Goodman building, Mico Design worked with Jasmax to produce a specification to meet the 5+ Green Star design rating required, with sustainable design principles being incorporated throughout the building.

The build of this six level A-Grade office development is well advanced and features Adesso Mila toilet suites, plus a combination of exclusive wash hand basins, tapware and accessories. With a 4 star WELS rating and 3.3L average flush, the Adesso Mila toilet suite proved perfect for the sustainable building.
