An Advanced New Arrival for Ross Roof Group

Three years ago Ross Roof Group added another 3,500m² to a total of 7,500m² of manufacturing and warehouse space to make room for their ever-increasing production requirements. Now they are also in the process of designing and engineering a new automated coating line and oven, and adopting lean manufacturing to ensure they continue to offer quality and competitive roofing tiles to the New Zealand and world markets.

It's exciting times at Ross Roof Group, with the arrival of two brand new 350 tonne presses last month. These state-of-the-art press machines will dramatically increase Ross Roof Group's capacity to service their continued growth throughout the world.

Delivery of the machines was a massive job, with cranes needed to lift the presses upright and then industrial skates to slide them through the factory to their new home.

These presses are 40% faster than the current presses and will enable Ross Roof Group to meet the production needs of their upcoming new CF (Concealed Fastening) profiles. This new arrival is yet another way that they will be able to deliver the very best pressed metal roofing solutions using advanced technology.

Metrotile, manufactured by the Ross Roof Group, has progressively gained status as a world leader in pressed metal tile roofing. From their ISO 9001 accredited factory and development facilities in Auckland, Metrotile manufactures and distributes products to customers in New Zealand and to markets throughout the world. Every tile they create carries the official seal of approval of the International Standards Organisation.
