Norx Construction wanted a variation of the norm when it came to choosing the colour of their new show home roof in Karaka Estates. In light of the recent trend of having a dark coloured roof, like Metrotile's Charcoal, one of the directors, Sean Shen, asked Metrotile what other colour options they could offer that have similarities to the ever popular Charcoal, but with an aesthetic variation.
That's when Ross Roof Group showed them some images of a recent installation of a new export colour in the US market. This new colour is known as Ironstone and offers quite a unique look. The Ironstone colour is unique as it offers three different coloured splashes placed on the tile at random. Each tile has only two of the colours, but any combination of the three is possible, ensuring no pattern is repeated in the roof. This gives a very different and appealing look when compared with the traditional two-tone colour options currently available.
Ironstone has been mainly used on the Shake profile as is evident from the photos above. However, the natural look of the Ironstone colour could be available to all eight Metrotile profiles. Specifiers are welcome to contact Ross Roof Group to request samples or further details of the Ironstone project.
