Wilco Precast, manufacturers of Litecrete, have been prefabricating residential precast concrete panels for over 50 years from their Papakura-based Concrete NZ Certified plant.
All Litecrete residential panels are custom-manufactured for each project, so there is no waste on site. Panels are made in a quality-controlled factory environment, to fine tolerances, ensuring that there is no room for error. Once installed, the external wall panels are virtually complete; no timber frame, no supplementary insulation, no plasterboard; no rot, no fuss.
The pumice aggregate used in the Litecrete concrete mix provides an in-built insulation value, so that the panels comply with the Building Code insulation requirements. Once installed, they are virtually complete and only require decorating inside and out; being a one-component total wall assembly means only one wall inspection. Panels for a typical two-storey house can be installed in a day or so. Check out the House in One Day video below.
Conduits for electrical services can be cast-in to the panels and a range of surface finishes are available.
Litecrete panels form one integral, fully-insulated wall; solid, continuous and water-tight. This prevents leaks, draughts and cold spots, resulting in a more comfortable, quieter living environment. No other components, no grief. After a Litecrete structure has served its original purpose the lightweight concrete can be crushed and recycled.
Litecrete is manufactured to an ISO 9001 Telarc quality assurance programme, ensuring the highest quality product, delivered on site, on time.
