New Classrooms to Benefit from Permadeck Composite Decking

The Government has announced that Interlink Modular has secured the contract for the National Transportable School Programme, a new initiative announced in this year's budget which is rolling out 480 new classrooms. Permadeck has been chosen as the composite decking supplier.

With timber decking not meeting the slip resistance requirements for ramps and stairs, Permadeck was the ideal choice, with the added benefit that Permadeck boards are installed with hidden fasteners, which reduce the chance of foot injuries.

The Ministry of Education wants decking that is strong, durable and suited to the varied climatic differences of New Zealand. Having supplied over 170 containers into Australasia, the Permadeck Latitudes range of decking is the safe choice in a harsh environment.

With over 15,000m² going down over the next few years, future generations will have an up close and personal knowledge of composite decking, that will last long past when their children go to school.
