GSL Enhancing Sealer Accentuates Sand-blasted Concrete Pattern

Christchurch’s newly-opened Western Belfast Bypass is a new four lane median separated motorway bypassing Belfast and running from the existing motorway to join Johns Road, South of The Groynes entrance.

Fulton Hogan, the main contractor on the Western Belfast Bypass, engaged Graffiti Solutions to protect all the concrete structures against graffiti vandalism. Extra to graffiti protection, the application of GSL Enhancing Sealer proved to be a bonus in highlighting the braided river pattern which had been sand-blasted into concrete walls as a feature referencing Canterbury’s braided river systems.

The desired effect was achieved with just one coat of Satin GSL Enhancing Sealer, which was applied by one of Graffiti Solutions’ skilled operators.

GSL Enhancing Sealer can be used on porous surfaces such as concrete (fair-faced/exposed aggregate/honed/decorative/coloured), brick, block and natural stone. It works by enhancing the aesthetic value of the substrate.

It has a warranty of five years after which time it may need re-application.
