Any Colour as Long as It’s White

A painter rocks into store and purchases a tin of Dulux Haast say, and off they go.

In New Zealand customers and specifiers like the freedom to be able to choose from a very wide variety of colours. Paint companies meet this need by producing white paint and bases of various strengths which, when combined with an in-store tint system, can produce practically any colour desired. Paint brands each have their own colour range. In addition there is the ability to create bespoke colours for that special job.

Tinters are not paint though, so we design the bases to achieve the colour desired with the minimum tinter possible. Too much tinter can cause problems with drying, picture framing, fading, loss of paint properties and tinter flotation.
