Customised Light Box Solution for MIT

Well known in the commercial interior and fitout market for offering an extensive range of interior products, Potter Interior Systems can also provide custom-built solutions, especially when folded metal like aluminium is required.

A prime example of this occurred during the recently completed Manukau Institute of Technology project in Manukau, Auckland. A regular Potter Interior Systems customer – Mason & Hall – approached the team in the early build stages for some assistance in the fabrication and supply of in-ceiling light boxes. Potters had the capability to fabricate and supply a range of light boxes folded to specific dimensions and finished with special black reflective powder coat as per design specifications. A total of 1.2 km of these light boxes were installed throughout the building.

In this case, Potter Interior Systems were able to able to make use of existing relationships with current aluminium and powder coating suppliers which enabled the production of this innovative product, previously not available as a proprietary item.
