Pre-finished hospital lining solution from Climate™ Climate™ has developed ClimateLine™, a wall lining system for hospitals and medical institutions. The lining provides a smooth, non-porous, chemical-resistant, dust-free wall and ceiling lining solution. The system reduces the time for lining and finishing by up to 60% and is durable for high-wear environments. It also eliminates the harmful plaster dust and paint fume issues associated with hospital retrofits and assists infection control.
New dishwasher from Smeg The new Smeg dishwasher SA8210X-1 features mark-resistant coating as well as a delay timer. It has active spray arms, which increase the spray power by 86% and a 65-degree normal wash cycle, ensuring every item in the machine is rinsed and washed thoroughly. Other features include a 14-place setting with a height-adjustable graphite basket to accommodate large plates and long-stemmed glasses. The sound output is low at 41 decibels.
Häfele is moving premises The Häfele 62 Cook Street Design Centre is moving to the historical Gas Works building at 20 Beaumont St, St Mary's Bay. The newly refurbished Häfele Architectural Showroom will be fitted out with two kitchens, a bedroom, office furnishings, storage systems, handles and a selection of doors from home to office. Häfele's opening day will be 13 July 2009.
Suspended animation with Kermac Kermac Partitions has introduced the K-Moda Ceiling Suspended (CS) system as an alternative to the classic high-rise office partition system. It delivers a floating aesthetic, easy cleaning and is available in a range of colours and finishes. It comes in three designs: ceiling suspended, blade mounted with overhead bracing (BO) and blade mounted only (BF). The K-Moda design range is available in the new Laminex Structural Board MR colours as well as 13mm compact laminate and lacquered finishes.
Cement paint from Peter Fell Supercem is classified as an architectural coating, providing a functional and decorative treatment for cementitious wall surfaces including plaster, masonry, and concrete blocks. Supercem provides a natural-looking surface coating because it is cement-based, and it comes in 24 standard colours, with custom colour palettes available.
Free-standing bath tapware from Foreno Foreno Tapware's new X-Factor Floor Mount Bath Mixer (XFCFB) is designed for free-standing baths. It has a minimalist design, self-lubricating ceramic headworks, and a diverter and shower - meaning it complements nearly any style of free-standing bath. The height of the XFCFB from the floor is 980mm and the reach is 220mm and it comes with a full 7-year guarantee.
The Range 2010 from Resene The Range 2010 is a collection of classic and contemporary colours and finishes designed for the year 2010 and beyond, complete with complementary colour suggestions to create the right colour schemes for decorating projects. New sliding door in the Centabuild range The Centor A9 range from Centabuild has been designed to slide shutters and doors of up to 60kg and maximum panel height of 3 metres. The A9 operates quietly, is easy to install and requires little or no maintenance.

New DoorLeaveS from CS FOR DOORS CS For Doors has two new additions to its range of DoorLeaveS, each well suited to both commercial and residential applications. The AluTeC is a flush aluminium door leaf with an internal aluminium frame and aluminium skins to eliminate bowing or twisting. The VeronA comes pre-finished with coloured acrylic sheet over a robust aluminium frame and is available in a range of modern acrylic skin colour.

Graphex insulation from PSL PSL's new Graphex Solid Overlay system combines a graphite composite panel and 12mm of solid plaster to reduce permeability of heat, increasing insulation. The insulation properties of the 20mm Graphex overlay with 12mm of plaster can achieve an R-value of 1.05 or 1.7 with the 40mm Graphex overlay system. This R-value will exceed the new building code changes in all regions in New Zealand.

Updated ARCHICADselect website ARCHICADselect.com supplies ArchiCAD resources and has recently been updated. The new site has all the old material including objects, tips, CADimage tools, productivity add-ons, NZ specific resources and web links. There's a new support portal, an online e-class training registration system and a blog, where ArchiCAD will be posting news, tips of the day, and notifications about new content. All the blog content can be sent direct to your computer by subscribing to the new RSS feed.
New architecture lecture series Acclaimed architect John Mainwaring will be the keynote speaker at buildnz 09 Monday 29th June. John has worked in England and Denmark, and has travelled extensively throughout the world including Japan, where he visited the Nikkei Sekkei projects at Shinjuku in Tokyo and Professor Shinohara at the Tokyo Tech. He has lectured at both Queensland University of Technology and Queensland University and now practices and lives in Brisbane. Of particular interest will be a recently completed resort in Noosa and the Cooroy Art Temple, which was a finalist in the World Architecture Awards. Policing hot water energy consumption with Parex The newly built Whangarei Police station uses Stiebel Eltron Heat Pump Water Heaters to provide 24-hour-a-day hot water. The Stiebel Eltron units are estimated to save a minimum of 70% of the comparable energy expenditure and costs of conventional electric hot water units providing the same heat load.
New products from APL at Build NZ
A showcase of new products will be on display at APL's Build NZ stand A 223 in Hall #2. Products include a thermally broken roof window to halt condensation in winter and two new sliding door features, one of which is an opening window that can be incorporated into the moving panel in a Metro Slider format. There's also a plasma entrance door that will feature an artistic effect etched into the anodised surface.

Autex Industries will be at stand 246 with new thermal and acoustic solutions and offering specialist service advice including H1 calculations.
Climate™ will be at stand 365
Climate™ will be at stand 365 showing new interior surface products for the commercial market, including products inspired by European trends and developed and manufactured locally. Climate's new Element Gloss board will be on show, as well as the Dimension range of 3D decorative boards and ClimateLine™ the powder coated plasterboard lining system.
CSR at stand 303
Right across from the main feature CSR will have opened (half gibed) walls that will display their insulation. They will be using SoundScreen and Bradford wall and ceiling insulation so people can view and touch the product in a practice environment.
Stand 327 is Dynex Palliside
Dynex Palliside is in Hall 3, stand 327. They are showing new colours, running a maintenance calculator and colour selector on a laptop and they will also be talking about their association with the NZ Golf Open and running a $1,000 promotion.
James Hardie at stand 330
James Hardie will be showcasing their latest product Horizon Lining, a pre-finished internal wall lining that's available in eight contemporary colours. Horizon™ Lining is suited to both work and living spaces.
InSinkErator can be found at stand 332
Parex Industries Limited will be showcasing the new Evolution model food waste disposers from InSinkErator, and the latest range of InSinkErator instant hot water units. Parex will also be promoting the latest in German Hot Water Systems from Stiebel Eltron including the Hot Water Heat Pump, the instantaneous electric water heaters and point-of-use solutions.
REHAU at Build NZ expo
The REHAU stand will be showcasing products to aid the design, manufacture and supply of under-floor heating and cooling systems including the HIS 311 Hot and Cold water piping system. It is designed for installation in new buildings, and for carrying out renovations and repairs.

Resene will be showcasing The Range 2010 fashion paint colours and the newly released The Range Whites and Neutrals and the Karen Walker hues from the latest Karen Walker collection. There will also be the new Resene fine metallic-effect finish and previews of the Resene Wallpaper Collection 2011 and the Resene Curtain Collection.
