Mammoth Surpasses Wall Thermal Performance Tests

Insulation plays an important role in creating a healthier, warmer and more energy-efficient home, and products with the same R-Value can vary greatly in performance in real construction systems.

Mammoth Insulation recently separated its thermal performance from industry generics in the BRANZ House Insulation Guide, by commissioning independent tests of its airlay wall sections in a variety of wall systems.

Mammoth airlay polyester insulation sections are manufactured at Australasia's only airlay plant — a manufacturing process that randomises the fibre format versus traditional layering (carding) plants. These resulting insulation sections feature multi-dimensional springiness for a snug, seamless and friction fit in both walls and underfloors.

Mammoth Insulation believed that the quality and crease-free, gap-free installation and manufacturing process ensured the maximisation of Mammoth airlay sections' thermal performance. Testing by New Zealand's leading building research agency has verified that wall systems featuring Mammoth airlay wall sections exceed the generic construction R-Values of equivalent systems in the BRANZ House Insulation Guide.

Mammoth 100% polyester insulation is made in New Zealand by InsulPro Manufacturing Ltd, the world's only carboNZero certified insulation manufacturer. Mammoth Insulation products are also certified Red List Free by Declare, the International Living Future Institute.
