Forman Offers Flexible Design with Timber Coated Metal Ceilings

The Armstrong metal range now includes standard perforated exposed ceilings, semi-concealed solutions, hook on systems, fully concealed solutions, mesh ceilings, linear and baffle systems. Traditionally available in standard white, MetalWorks have recently been specified and installed in a range of powder-coated colours, matching client's and designer's briefs. Coloured perforated metal tiles and linear baffles have been used to delineate particular areas where different activities may take place; it creates a really effective visual in an interior space.

Responding to the demand of natural timber being extensively used in commercial interiors, Armstrong has developed a range of 10 wood grain finishes for its MetalWorks product range. A two stage powder coating process is applied to both plain and perforated surfaces (steel or aluminium) which recreates the natural timber colour grains of most common timber types.

Timber coated metal ceilings offer the visual warm look of natural timber, but at a fraction of the price and without the disadvantages commonly found when installing real timber. This is a testament to Armstrong and Forman Building Systems’ desire to offer complete solutions. A cost-effective and easy-to-install universal suspension system (UNIGRID system) has been developed to be used across most MetalWorks ceilings. Like all Armstrong products, the fully installed MetalWorks systems are covered by a comprehensive product warranty, and are offered with seismically compliant braced solutions.
